Valmistume külmemaks hooajaks. Preparing for the colder season

Viimasel ajal on temperatuur langenud ning õhus on sügis. Mida jahedamaks muutuvad ilmad, seda rohkem tekib tahtmine haarata villaste lõngade järele. Ma veedan iga päev kokku umbes tund aega rongis (pool tundi tööle sõites ja pool tundi tagasi koju tulles). Rongis veedan aega tavaliselt kududes ning selleks sobivad kõige paremini väikesed asjad. Nii see müts valmiski.

Lately the temperatures have dropped and there is autumn in the air. The cooler it gets the more I reach for the woolen yarns. I spend every day about an hour on the train (half an hour to the office and back). Usually I spend the time on train knitting. For this purpose the small projects are the best. That is how this hat got done.

Tähelepanelik vaatleja märkab, et pildil oleva vesti kaelus on tehtud samast lõngast. Lõngaks oli Hazel Knits Artisan Sock, kulus 55 grammi. Vardad olid 3 mm. Kasutasin Dropsi mustrit Tristan. Lõpptulemusega olen rahul nii ise kui on ka mütsikandja.

Maybe you already noticed that the collar of the vest on the photo is made from the same yarn as the hat. I used Hazel Knits Artisan Sock leftovers that I had, it took 55 grams. Needles were 3 mm. The pattern is from Drops, called Tristan. Both me and the hat owner are pleased with the results.

    1. We don't have any freezes yet. I still have some planting to do for the next year. Just got some raspberry and tayberry plants. Also 2 grapes are waiting to be planted and some flowers.
