Mütsi õpetus saadaval! Hat pattern available!

Eelmises postituses nähtud mütsi muster on nüüd ingliskeelsena saadaval. Link.

The hat I showed in the previous post is now available as a pattern. Here is the link

It is a perfect hat for using up your sport-weight leftovers. You don't have to stick to two colors only. It's easy to adapt the pattern for more colors. Let your fantasy fly! Also, stranded hat are very practical for winter. Stranded knitting creates this extra layer that keeps your head really warm.

Have a great knitting!

Täpid. Dots

Mul on eriline nõrkus halli värvi vastu ning mul puudus garderoobist hall müts. Lõngakorvis olid mõned jäägid, millest kokku sai selline müts. Lõngadeks on Drops Alpaca (tumedam) ning Schahenmayr Soft Mix (heledam). Vardad 3 mm (sooniku jaoks) ja 4 mm.
I have special relationship with grey color - I just really like it. I didn't have a grey hat in my wardrobe and I had some grey leftovers in my stash. Result is here. Yarns that I used were Drops Alpaca (darker) and Schahenmayr Soft Mix (lighter). Needles 3 mm (for the ribbing) and 4 mm.

Lõheroosad lehed. Salmon pink leaves

After finishing the sweater I showed in the last post, I wanted to make something small and quick. I think I could never have too much gloves because they also wear out quite often. I had this salmon pink alpaca and wool mix in my stash and when I saw these mitts on Ravelry, the decision was made. The original pattern is for mitts and not for gloves but it's not hard to adjust it.

Lõng / yarn: Bergère de France Lima, 50 g Vardad / needles: 3 mm Muster / pattern: Three Leaf Mitts

Sügis, värvid ja vill. Autumn, colors and wool

Eelmises postituses näidatud kampsun on nüüd ka parematele piltidele püütud. Mul õnnestus fotosessioon nädalavahetuse ainsale päikselisele momendile ajastada ning viimast sügissoojust nautida.

The sweater from the last post has made it to the additional photos (got a permission from the cat). I managed to time the photo session to the few sunny hours during the weekend. It was a nice moment to catch some last autumn sun rays.

I used Danish Uldgaarden Shetlandsgarn (blue and brown) and Estonian Aade Lõng 8/2 that I colored myself using plants long time ago. Needles were 3.5 mm and I used in total 260 grams of yarn.

Kasutasin mustrit Højbjerg Pullover, kuid muutsin selle kardiganiks. Katsetasin esimest korda steeke ehk valmis kampsuni lahti lõikamist. Tundus hirmutav, aga tegelikult po…

Kassi uus lemmik. Kitty approved

At least my kitty likes my new sweater. Hopefully I will manage to take some additional photos soon (if the cat allows).

Suvetöö. Summer job

Lõpuks ometi saan näidata kardigani, mida olen vahelduva eduga kogu suve jooksul kudunud. Kasutasin musta meriinost pitsilõnga, mis muutis kudumise väga pikaajaliseks protsessiks.

Finally I'm ready to show what I've been busy with the most of the summer. I made this cardigan out of black lace weight merino yarn. As you can imagine it took quite some time to finish it.

Kasutasin Drops'i disaini Feathers, kuid otsustasin nööpe mitte lisada. See on ainus muudatus, mille tegin.

I used a pattern by Drops - Feathers. I decided not to have buttons on this cardigan. That's the only change I did compared to the original design.

Lõngaks oli Austermann Merino Lace, kulus 65 grammi. Vardad olid 3 mm.

I used Austermann Merino Lace, 65 grams in total. Needles were 3 mm.

Inspiratsioon. Inspiration

Ma pole siia pikalt midagi lisanud, aga tegelikult olen käsitööd teinud küll. Varsti-varsti! Eile lõin varrastele uue projekti, kus kasutan pildil olevaid lõngu.

I haven't posted here for quite some time although I have been crafting. Soon there will be some more posts! Yesterday I started new project with the yarns on the photo.

Vill ja nõel. Wool and needle

Ma pole juba mitu aastat midagi viltinud ja nüüd tuli tahtmine viltimisnõel ja vill välja otsida. Sündis üks pisike pross.

I haven't needle felted for several years already. Now I suddenly had an urge to take out my felting needle and some wool. This is how this small brooch was born.

Lustakad triibud. Joyful stripes

Pildilolev tore noormees sai selle kampsuni endale sünnipäevaks. Poisi emme (või võib-olla issi) korraldas koduse fotosessiooni, mida siin nüüd nautida saab.

The fine young man on the photo got this sweater for his birthday. His mum (or maybe dad) arranged a photo session at home that you can see here now.

You can easily notice that unfortunately one skein of blue yarn had a little color difference compared to the other skeins. Hopefully it doesn't bother too much...

Lõng / Yarn: Wibra Nova  - 75 g valge/white, 125 g sinist/blue Vardad / Needles: 3 mm, 3.5 mm Muster / Pattern: Top Down Super Stripes

Tellised ja pits. Bricks and lace

Teine Hollandist lahkumise kingituseks kootud sall on teie ees. Kasutasin Sacre Coeur mustrit, kuid äärde lisasin heegeldatud pitsi. Lõngaks on Emmebi Kiddy (28 grammi), vardad 4 mm.

The second scarf I made as a good bye gift is in front of you. I used Sacre Coeur pattern but added crochet lace to the edge. Yarn is Emmebi Kiddy (28 grams), needles 4 mm.

Üks hall sall läks rändama... One grey scarf went wandering

Praegu on käsil minu viimane Hollandis elamise nädal. Pühapäeval kolin Šveitsi. Kudusin oma hollandi tööandjatele lahkumiskingitused. Nii toredaid ja sooje inimesi annab leida.

Right now it's my last week of living in the Netherlands. On Sunday I'm going to move to Switzerland. I made good bye gifts for my Dutch employers. They are such amazing people!

Muster / Pattern: Free Spirit Lõng / Yarn: Katia Olé Socks Arequipa, 100 g Vardad / Needles: 4 mm

Nice thing about this stitch is that both sides look nice!

Suvised lumepallid. Summer snow balls

Viimane ese beebiaksessuaaride seeriast! Loodetavasti hakkab seda mütsi kandma hulk fotogeenilisi tittesid :)

Järgisin printsess Charlotte'i mütsi õpetust, kuid lisasin tutid ning paela tegin ka teistsuguse.

Last item in my baby accessories series! Hopefully lots of photogenic babies will wear it :)

I followed princess Charlotte's bonnet pattern but did some changes - added pom-poms and also the ribbon I made differently - I made it as i-cord.

Muster / Pattern: Princess Charlotte's Bonnet
Lõng / Yarn: ALize Lanagold 800 (15 g)
Vardad / Needles: 3 mm

Mähkmed peitu. Hideaway nappy cover

It's nicer if you don't see the nappies on the photos. The photographer asked me to make a nappy cover. Here it is.

Sama lõngakombinatsioon nagu eelmises postituses. Kokku kulus 12 grammi lõnga. Idee, mida veidi modifitseerisin, pärineb siit.

The same yarn combo as in the previous post. In total I used 12 grams of yarn. The idea that I modified a little bit is from here.

Üks pisike müts. One little hat

Üks hollandi sõbranna tegutseb töö kõrvalt ka fotograafina ning palus, kas ma võiks beebide fotosessioonideks mõned asjad talle teha. Järgmised paar postitust näitavad neid asju, mis ma talle kudusin.
One of my friends in the Netherlands is a photographer. She asked me if I could make some props for her baby photos. Couple of posts now will show what I made for her.

Kasutasin kahte lõnga - valget Alize Lanagold 800 ja pehmuse ning kohevuse andmiseks lisasin sinaka mohäärlõnga. Kokku kulus 15 grammi lõnga, vardad 3.5 mm.
Õpetus siit: Incredible Expanding Gnome Cap (Ravelry link)
I used 2 yarns held double - white Alize Lanagold 800 and blueish mohair blend to give volume and softness. In total I used 15 grams of yarn, needles 3.5 mm.

Tviid ja palmikud. Tweed and cables

Here it is - my very first men's vest. I made it during the vacation in US - long road trip hours were perfect for knitting. I didn't have enough grey yarn and no way to get the same yarn easily in US. So quick search in internet to find the nearest yarn shop and off we went with the future vest owner.

Future vest owner decided to go with this brown yarn (after listening to some suggestions :)). I think in the end the vest looks better with two colors.

Muster …

Welcome!

Hello, nice to see you here! Some of you might have followed my old blog which is available here. So why did I decide to start a new one? In my old blog I was writing about my crafting and about my trips and I started to feel that it's not completely crafting blog any more. Neither was it a travel blog. I decided to keep those two a little bit more separate but still a little bit together as well. So that's how this blog was born.

You can also find all the patterns I've published in my old blog here. I plan to write down more patterns in the future. I believe in free sharing. So if you are interested in free patterns you can come and check back here every now and then.

I hope you will enjoy this blog! To the next crafting posts!
